KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE POSITION

The ideally suited person for this post would be responsible for the following key activities, but not limited to:
• Evaluate daily fund requirements by analyzing cash inflows and outflows, prioritizing payments, monitoring bank balances, and assisting in effective cash flow management through forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization.
• Assist with making short-term and long-term investments in both LKR and foreign currencies.
• Manage audit coordination to ensure internal and external audits are completed within stipulated timelines.
• Liaise with banks on operational banking matters and fund transfers.
• Ensure timely preparation and review of bank reconciliations in accordance with internal controls.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of invoices aligned with monthly operational reports for each product line.
• Prepare and post daily accounting journal entries while maintaining accurate financial records.
• Prepare schedules for VAT returns, SSCL returns, and other statutory taxes.
• Reconcile receivable balances and follow up on overdue payments.


QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Part-qualified in CA / ACCA / CIMA, or a Diploma-level qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 02 years of work experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Visio, and Office 365 tools.
• Experience in using accounting software; hands-on experience in QuickBooks application will be an added advantage.
